One thing I do like doing is making something our of boring set of drawers . yes you can paint them and make them look nice but what about making them useful .

So that is what I wanted to do when I picked up some drawers that I thought would ook lovely as wine bars.

This set I knew how I wanted it to look even before I picked this up from the seller .

I really wanted a funky bar , something eye catching.

I wanted to keep the wee cupboard on the bottom but wanted it more open so I could see in.

So after a paint , I cut out the opening , I knew I did not want to leave it this way but have something rustic .

So I added chicken wire.

Then I started putting together the wine bar shelving ,using the faces off the drawers.

I also made a matching pair for the wee cupboard as well , then I added battery operated stick on lights , so at night I

could light up the wine bar :-)

I left the wine bar white for awhile but then decided I wanted to give it a pop of color .

So painted it duck egg and added some stencils and black waxed .

I really like how it turned out.

I love stencils , they give a piece more style

So then it was aging and then it was finished .

This is what it looks like at night with the lights on .

Love how it turned out .
